Folding Mountain Brewing Summer Collective

July 7, 2018, 9AM to 11PM @ Folding Mountain Brewing outside of Hinton, AB

Coming up this weekend is Folding Mountain Brewing’s first birthday, so they’re throwing a party called the Summer Collective. This birthday bash will include OUTDOOR YOGA, LIVE MUSIC, a DESTINATION MARKET, DELICIOUS FOOD, and most importantly, COLD BEER!

By the way, this event is completely FREE to attend!

/// Schedule of (FREE) Events ///
9:00AM - 10:30AM // Outdoor YOGA w/ Frankie feat. DJ Sarah Marie Farrell
10:30AM - 11:00PM // Taproom is OPEN!
12:00PM - 9:00PM // ARTISAN MARKET + Food Trucks are OPEN!

Plus, on this day, for every beer sold, we will be donating $1 to the Hinton and District SPCA, so if the delicious cold beer in the mountains isn’t enough of an incentive already, this charitable donation should help!

The Village at K-Days

July 20-25, 2018, 12PM to 9PM @ Edmonton Expo Centre, Hall B.

Northlands has asked the Vignettes Design Series team to activate Hall B of the Edmonton Expo Centre with local Makers, Artists, Musicians and more! This year we’re teaming up with Vignettes Edmonton and On The Spot Pop Up/The Maker’s Keep, to put together a crazy awesome market called The Village at K-Days.

The goal is to create engaging experiences to drive traffic into K-Days and support the local community. This Pilot Project—if successful—will set a precedent for the planning and curation of K-Days moving forward.

We are doing a call for Vendors, Chefs and Food-Innovators, Musicians, and More! See the details below:

VENDOR CALL

On July 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25, between 12-9PM. Vendors have an opportunity to bring their products to showcase at The Village. They will be provided with an 8 x 10 walk-in space. Vendors will be expected to bring their own tables and products. Power is limited!

You can pick your schedule any day between the 20 and the 25; there is a 2-day minimum.

The cost to vend is FREE; just a 15% commission paid back to northlands daily (to be facilitated by Wild Heart Collective). TO APPLY PLEASE FOLLOW THE LINK HERE.

ALSO:

If you want to send your product but do not want to attend the show, there is another option for a “communal store” model with On the Spot Pop-Ups and The Maker’s Keep. Please see http://onthespotpopups.com/apply/ for details on this and to sign up!

From July 20-29 between 12:00-4:40 PM we have a busker and performer series in The Village. We are looking for solo acts or duos. Honorariums will be available. Please email hello@wearewildheart.com for more information on this.

During the same time, we will also be producing a series of Food Demos. If you are a chef or someone doing innovated foodstuff in YEG please reach out to us, we want you!

Grand Taste Tour

July 28, 2018, 9 AM departure & 7 PM return.

The 124 Grand Market is proud to be bringing you another summer of the Grand Taste Tour! Tickets are on sale now!

The Grand Taste Tour is an interactive, educational experience that will celebrate and promote local food grown and raised in Alberta. On Saturday, July 28, 2018 participants will be engaged in guided food tours including producers from outside our City's limits. Featuring tastings and other educational tidbits and a special farm to fork dinner you will NOT want to miss!

The Grand Taste Tour is a fundraising initiative that started in 2014 to generate funds to facilitate operations of the 124 Grand Market, Little Beans, and Little Beans Farm Camp.

On July 28th, we will be heading West to Wildwood and be working with the very cool Doherty Family out at Stonepost Farms.

Stonepost Farms produce food that is natural and healthy while maintaining the integrity of the land. On this tour, we will learn about their regenerative farming practices, as well as other interactive workshops where we will discover entomophagy (the raising and production of insect protein), bees, and more! This experience is not to be missed!

Partners include:

More partners to be announced.

At the end of a jam-packed day, we are honoured to have Award Winning Chef Eric Hanson and his team at Prairie Noodle Shop prepare a delicious meal served in the picturesque backdrop of Stonepost Farms.

Tour Tickets are $125 and include transportation from drop-point within City limits, one snack and a meal. Alcoholic beverages and pairings available at additional cost. Tours will depart from Edmonton. We are scheduled for a 9AM departure and a 7PM return. Departure time subject to change depending on partners and tour stops.

The menu will only be able to accommodate omnivores. Unfortunately, we will not be able to comply with other dietary restrictions. Sorry for the inconvenience.

These are the events we’re a part of this month as well as the 124 Grand Market which runs Thursday evenings from 4 to 8 PM and Sunday afternoons from 11 AM to 3 PM!
